A very special day for our lab today. The first member of the old guard of the lab has defended her doctoral work and attained her PhD degree. Many congratulations to the newly minted Dr. Vanesa Hurtado for all her work and resilience over these years! She will be hunting for jobs soo! Also special thanks to the members of her PhD committee: Dra. María Mayán (CINBIO, Vigo), Dra. Belén Gómez González (CABIMER, Univ. de Sevilla) and Dr. Daniel García Souto (USC) for a very dynamic discussion despite the online modality.

Congratulations to the Wodhoo lab at CIMUS and all the collaborators for their recent paper in Science Advances:  Neddylation orchestrates the complex transcriptional and posttranscriptional program that drives Schwann cell myelination. Delighted to have played a small part in this story.
